Back over that wobbly bridge again to Tate Modern. Third set of film screenings for Photofilm. http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/eventseducation/film/photofilmseasonseries.htm
At first unsure about this set of films. One was an Eisenstein. (Beshin Lug (Beshin Meadow), Eisenstein
1935/67)........
The making of the film had been halted by Stalin's film minister for being too formalist and subjective (and I'm not sure what that means but,) and then the film was destroyed in a fire.

A montage of some remaining stills and single frames, (and I guess cutting room floor stuff) was made 32 yearslater by Sergei Jutkewitsch & Jay Leyda. This was then made into a film. I found it hard to watch, though some amazing images.

19.24 p.m

19.27 p.m

19.36 p.m
